How can I get a job in 15 years old?

Can I get a job in San Antonio, Texas at 15 years old?

  • I read the Texas Labor Laws and it stated that the minimum age to work in Texas is 14 years old, and it only said that a child 14- and 15- can only work from 7am to 7pm a day and cannot work during school hours. I saw on another site that I could get a job at Baskin Robbins and as a Arby's crew member at the minimum age of 15 years. I just wanted to be sure if I am able to get a job at Baskin Robbins this summer 2011, no school, at a Baskin Robbins near me.

    Find the nearest office of Workforce Solutions - Alamo (Texas Workforce) and ask the receptionist for an Age of Consent form. Have one of your parents fill it out and mail it to the address at the top . This is for a Work Permit. You must leave a photo copy of this every place you apply for work until you turn sixteen. DO NOT do something bright like fill out the form and forge your parents signature. Texas goes heavily of forged state documents.

young man, call them directly and ask to speak to the manager. do not call during rush hour times like lunch or dinner. if they do, show up in PERSON dressed NICELY. then fill out an application and ask for the next available interview. asking questions online does not beat going out on your own via phone calls and coming in for jobs. also ask for jobs at your local church and u can also do manual work and errands for neighbors around you.
