How do eBay stores work?

Anyone know where I can find a store that sells your stuff on ebay for you?

  • I would like to sell some of my collectibles through one of those stores that will sell them on ebay for you. Where can I find one of these stores in the Sacramento, Ca area and how do these stores work? Do you have to pay any money into it? Do they just buy the items from you for what they think they are worth and then sell them? Or do they sell them on ebay and get a percentage of the amount of money you make? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

They have lots of names so I wont even suggest any--look under "resale" in the yellow pages, or even "auction". They usually tell YOU what THEY think it's worth, and then sell it for that price, and you have to give them a commission--usually it's a fee upfront and a % of the final sale--it could be as much as 50%. Why dont you try ebaying yourself? It's not hard--there's a tutorial that basically shows you step by step how to do it.

They usually just take the item and then when it is sold, give you the money, but they get a percentage of the selling price. Why don't you just call them and ask?? Do a search for online aution stores in your area. or ebay srop-off store sacramento
