How do I properly print transparencies?

Cheapest way to print on overhead projector transparencies.?

• I need to print 100s and maybe 1000s of transparencies or similar 4-5 mil plastic sheets or rolls. I need to get my cost down as lo as possible. laser printing too is expensive. I think ink jet is too.

  With that many copies, it would actually be cheaper to have a commercial printer do this for you. They have economies of scale that you cannot hope to match with home-based equipment. So, get quotes from FedEx Office (formerly Kinko's), The UPS Store, plus office supply stores like Staples or Office Expo,most of which offer printing services. It wouldn't hurt to get a quote from a smaller (non-chain) store as well. They are often very competitive and can offer more personalized service. BTW, laser printing would almost certainly be the least expensive option. Ink jet printers (the hardware) are cheap, but the cost per image is higher than laser. That's where the economies of scale come in.
