What kind of summer jobs can a 13 year old get?

I suggest you dont work... I think you should volunteer... You don't need to be corrupted by demonic money yet. You are only 13, you should volunteer at your local hospital or library. It will really help you out when you are applying to colleges. Have a great summer!

If you are interested in making someone's life a little better, try the nursing homes, as a candy striper (volunteer). It will sure brighten an elderly person's day when you arrive to help with everyday chores or errands. Most of them love to have young people. such as yourself, to just visit, sit and talk, read to them, or other things to entertain them.

first off, i live in phx too! i was 13 two years ago, so i know how much trouble it is to find a good job. i recommend babysitting, walking dogs, and also go to a volunteer organization. also, lots of people don't know that through volunteering, it helps you get really good jobs when you're older. so you may not be able to get much now, but if you volunteer now, you can get something really good in a year or so. so volunteer at a shelter, library, or a pool. make sure you enjoy it, though.

Mowing grass. Or even babysitting. It is hard for 13 year olds to get a job.

i know when you're 14, you can work in your local school district as a sweeper, but in the mean time talk to your neighbors. child labor laws don't allow most places to hire someone under 16, but (for instance) the snow cone shack or fairground jewlery table your neighbor down the street runs arn't under those laws. also if you have family that runs a restraunt or anything

cutting grass.

Babysitting, ironing, yard work, tutoring elementary kids, minor house cleaning, washing cars.
