What is the average pay for a security officer in the Philadelphia, PA area? What is the high/low?

  You are looking at anywhere between $8.00 to $15.00 per hour. Some of the contract look to really get away with minimum wage. You will do better with a decent private company. Many of the higher paid security jobs are policemen picking up a little extra off duty.
