Where can I get a job in NYC @ 16 years old.?
-
I need to get a job. FAST. I'm 16 and need to fund myself (if you know what I mean). Allowance isn't cutting it. So far I been looking around Manhattan, but every time I asked them for a job app. they look at me like I have a disease. Does anyone know who's hiring. 16 YEAR OLD MALE, JUNIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL.

Answer:
Go into restaurants that aren't as nice (not upscale) and ask them if they need any extra help. A 16 year old isn't going to get hired to be a sales associate (maybe a cashier, however). But yeah go into restaurants or ice cream places or whatever that are popular but would most likely hire younger kids. If you see younger kids working when you go to apply, your chances are better.
