Jobs that are hiring at 17 yrs old now?

  • I am currently a female senior in high school.I am looking for a job to have money to spend now (prom,grad) and to save for college expenses (books, dorm stuff, unexpecteds). I have limited work experience. I was hired twice during the summer months by a company called Summer Youth Employment, so with them I have 6 months expereience. The 1st summer I worked in the Recreation Department of a Nursing Home and the 2nd Summer I worked as a camp councelor. Last Oct-Nov, I worked as a canvasser for Mike Bloombergs reelection campaign. I have limited work experience but im very smart and mature for my age (most people think I'm older), so I feel with the right training I could be successful at any job. Anyone know of jobs for 17 yr olds? Thanks for any help in advance.

    You should ask your guidance counselor if they have like a work study program within your school.

The best thing may be to get a night job. There are fewer people going for them, even right now and if you can adjust your life to working at night it can be fruitful.
