How to get an interview at Macy's?

Will i get called for the second interview at Macy's?

  • I am 18 and yesterday I had a job interview at Macy's. After the interview, the hiring manager stated she were gong to see if "he" could interview me that day. Im assuming this would be my second interview. But when she came back she stated she had other candidates to still interview and will call next week if I got the second interview

No one can answer for sure. They might call, they might not.... Their hiring process is messy and conveyor-like... They interview A LOT of people every day. I went there too and was interviewed by a mean lady. I applied for some easy job like cashier, and had a couple years of experience, but she started asking me dozens of confusing questions... After that they sent me a generic mail "unfortunately, the position is filled blah-blah-bla..." Sometimes I shop at Macy's at 34th Street and see all those unprofessional cashiers that chat in your presence while making transaction and telling to someone 15 feets away some really disgusting story about their co-worker, etc... And I think what was wrong with me then? And what could possibly these ladies speak about during the interview? ))) I hope they will call you, it seems like they liked you and wanted to show you to some senior manager. If they never call, call youself and ask to speak to that lady, remind about yourself. And if you get a refusal letter, you can always apply again for another position. Good luck!
