What is the age limit to working as a waitress in New York State?

I want to get a job at Applebees or something and I know the pay is good if you're a server but I'm only 17. Would I have to work as a host or something? Thanks!

Answer:
You may be able to work as a waitress, the problem will be serving alcohol. You need to be 18 to serve liquor. To be a waitress you only need to be 16.
