EMT- what steps do i have to take to become an emt in nyc?

please tell me what i have to do to become an emt in nyc... i need to know immediately. are there any restrictions or does the state provide free coarses?

in order to become an EMT-B in nyc you need to take an EMT course that follows ny state protocols. In order to take the class you need to be first aid and CPR certified. The class involves lecture and skills portions and both written and skills exams.
