Where to get work permit?

Where can I get a work permit if I am under 18?

  • I am 17 year old who is applying for a job in Barnes and Nobles. Yet on the application for employment sheet, they ask for a WORK PERMIT if you are under 18. I live in NY. Where can I get this work permit? What does it mean?

  • Answer:

    Go to your High school Counselor.. She will either tell where to get it in your school or give you one herself. Basically they check your grades and classes and they are the ones who allow you to work or not to work. If your in College you need to ask your counselor and she will print one out for you...
