Do u think a 15 yr old person could get a job in NYC?

  • i am a 15 yr old boy i live in NYC and am a 10th grader. i want a part time job in NYC. i want like a job that will be like an office job. i love typin' and arrangin' stuff. that's the kinda job i want. do any of ya guys know an office or a link to such job in the city? i need it soo badly! no jokes folks!

    well i dont live in NYC, i live in vegas, but i can give some friendly advice. honestly? your not going to be able to find a high paying job at 15 let alone a job where u sit in an office all day. i can say from experience because i'm 16... anyways, i would recommend getting a job somewhere small first...like a starbucks, bookstore, department store...something like that. all businessmen/women start out small...take you for example, u work at a bookstore for a few months then end up working at starbucks for a bit, by then u have plenty of experience and could definitely apply to higher places. but my advice, start out somewhere small, then work ur way up

well I live in Florida and around here they are not looking for 15 year olds to work in an office. I suggest you try your best and if you cant find exactlly what you want then try something smaller. Around here most teen work at publix. Its hard to get a job here if your not 16. Well good luck with your search. =]

I believe you can as long as you have the proper working papers and it's not while school is in session (summer vacation for example). Ask you guidance counselor at your school before school ends. Good luck!
