How do you get your working papers?

How can a dropout get working papers in NYC?

My niece is 16, and she dropped out a few months ago. She's already signed up for taking GED classes, but she wants a part time job. How can she get her working papers if her school already has her as a dropout? Please help us! Thanks!

Well it'll be pretty hard to find a job in NYC or any city of major commerce being underage, a drop out and with a GED, but in any case check this website http://www.labor.ny.gov/workerprotection/laborstandards/workprot/wphmpg.shtm Not my neice but i would highly advise that she continue her education, because in a city run by king Bloomberg, even a Bachelors degree is no more than a high school diploma.
