Can a 13 year old get a part time job in New York?

Now i live in buffalo. Can you get a actual paying job at 13. I heard rumers that you need to be 14 to even get a permit. BUT AT 13 can you get a semi permet or something. I would like to get some extra cash in my pocket and not to try to find odd jobs. (CANT FIND ANY!)

Stay away from NYC you are 13, the only job you'll be doing is (you know what), & that is no way to ruin your life. Grow up & try to be happy where you are living even though Buffalo is a hard place to live.
