Are internships legal if your under the age of 16?

Need help finding Internships in New York City!?!?

  • I live in New York and I am looking into internships for the Summer (Summer 2012) I am a Highschool student, and the type of internship I am looking for is either in the Fashon Industry (like Public Relations), Theater ( not like Theater ,Theater but like TV, media theater)..if not that then that I would also like to look for an internship that involves helping little children in hospitals. I turn 16 before the summer so anything good for that age will help. I am dedicated and willing to do this, and I want something HANDS ON. I dont want to be bored (I am doing it over the SUMMER so i want to like it)
