Where can I find summer jobs?

Where is a good place to find summer jobs/housing in a stange city?

• I would like to move to New Orleans over my summer break from school, and I'm trying to find inexpensive housing and summer job opportunities that are not super sketchy. (Craigslist.) Are there any good web sites out there that have this kind of information? Thank you!

  Inexpensive housing will be tricky because it is super expensive here. I would suggest finding a friend who may be willing to move with you or finding opportunities for cheap housing on craigslist closer to that time because a lot of students leave for the summer and want someone to take over their lease. Just make sure that you are in a safe area...that takes a little research and visiting to determine that. Don't just look at pictures because they can be very deceiving. Trust me, there are some rough areas here. As far as jobs go, you may really just want to make a trip here beforehand to fill out applications to all the fun places here, like anywhere in the Quarter. I would also try the zoo, aquarium, and places like that, which of course have sites you can send a resume to. There are local sites that are helpful, like on nola.com. Good luck with your plan.
