Where can a 15 year old get a job in south Florida?

You're going to have a hard time finding anyone willing to hire a 15 year old as you're going to be extremely limited in what you can do and how long you can work based on Florida's laws. Places like Publix and bussing tables are usually suggested as good starting points for a reason. Some of these restrictions will be eased when you turn 16 but you still won't be able to work after 10pm and you still need more breaks. Sadly, child labor laws make it really difficult for businesses to justify hiring minors.

I'm 16 years old and I live in Boca, so we're in the same boat more or less. From what I understand, you take what you can get. At 15, you're not gonna have much if any experience, so classy businesses won't be hiring you. You might just have to go with Publix or a fast food restaurant or something demeaning like that.

You can always get yourself a lawn mower, rake, and even a cheap leaf blower! Considering the grass probably grows pretty good with all the sun light. Not sure if or how much it snows in the winter months (Nov. 15th- March 15th here in IL.) but you could offer snow removal (driveways, sidewalks, etc) This is what the landscapers guys do around here. Just a suggestion for a young business man.

I live in Davie..depending where you live exactly, you can work at Sawgrass Mall, or Aventura Mall. if you live closer to Miami you can work at the Dolphin mall..any AMC movie theathers, (publix is a good place to work)
