How to promote a play in Los Angeles?

Go where the play is to be held, and walk around the block handing out fliers and yelling about it. People that are walking around that area near the theatre, probably work or live in that area, so would most likely to hear more about the play. Dress as a character from the play. Give away free stuff promoting the play.
