eBay probably has the largest audience. Maybe it has more to do with timing? (Stuff sells more frequently around Christmas and other gift-giving holidays). Also, maybe the market for your items is decreasing. Just a thought. I can also suggest www.ioffer.com and www.sell.com. On those sites, you can set your own prices.

Try listing your items on craigslist, the local paper, and check around the other local yoacle sites that are "like Ebay", I've personally never used Ebay other than a reference...it seems like if it's not a "hot item" or in high demand you never get what the item it truly worth. Maybe even check local pawn shops...they might be able to at least point you in the right direction. An antique dealer...don't limit yourself to just the internet. At least with craigslist you can list the item, pictures, and a detailed description. Put up what you're asking for it and put OBO. At least people will write you telling you how much they feel it is worth. This gives you a general idea of what they're willing to pay. IDK just my thoughts. GL if you figure out a site like ebay but better let me know, I am curious myself.

blujay.com has a lot of fans. There's no listing fee, and you can set the number of days that you want a listing to remain up. They're very good on stats, and have a forum where you can ask for help.This is not an auction site, but straight sales.

Unfortunately because of eBay, the prices of so many different collectibles have decreased because of availability (on eBay). Unless you can find an auction house that specifically deals with memorabilia or actual collectors of what you have I'm not sure that you can get anymore money for your items than what you can get on eBay. I agree with you that many people want something for practically nothing these days (and they often get it on eBay). Don't get me wrong, I love eBay and use it often but in this case I can sympathize. As an alternative, I would suggest finding no cost advertising whether on-line or in publications, they do exist. There are even swap sites where you can trade your items for other things of similar value. Lastly, you may want to check into Beckett Sports Collectibles Magazine as they cover popular sports memorabilia and the autograph-collecting hobby. They may have a classified section in the mag. where you can advertise your sports items and they will reach the audience that you're looking for. There may be a similar music related magazine out there as well for your music related stuff. Good luck to you!
