Where can I get a job, 16 and live on Los Angeles, CA?

    Apply to places where other kids your age are working. Fast food, movie theaters, mall stores, some restaurants, In n Out. It's very hard to get a job right now, adults are taking jobs that teens usually take. Don't get discouraged, just keep putting in applications and calling back to see if anything opened up. Also, the best place to get a job is from your school counselor. Often they will have access to better jobs than you will find yourself. You will have to get a work permit from them anyway, so ask and see if they know of any jobs. Good luck!

The old tried and true teen job of babysitting is always available,, tell your friends parents, church members, neighbors etc. if you don't like kids you could do pet sitting or dog walking. Being that you're only 16 and the job market is so competitive right now you would be better to stick with these types of gigs, also with the economy like it is,the longer you can earn "untaxable" money the better,.

I was working at the swapmeet when I was 13 all the way up to 15. If you need a job the same day, there is really no other option. But if you have a few weeks to burn, then start filing out applications.

Honestly it will be real hard for a 16 year old to live in LA..and the whole job thing will be hard...because so many people live here...maybe try a mall.
