About to turn 18 and I want to become a stripper?

• Okay before everyone says the you're too young and this shouldn't be a career choice for you I want to explain why I want to do this. Ever since I was little I loved dancing and as I became older I thought dancing for money would be fun. Now that I'm old enough I don't have enough skill to become a professional dancer but I have enough skill to do strip teases and give lap dances. I'm worried about a few things. One: I live in Vegas so it's not hard to find a stripping job but I want to know how long it might take me to become one. Two: I don't have a ride there so I'll probably be using a cab or bus until I can pay my way but I don't live that close to the strip clubs. Three: I really need to start paying for college so this will help me but what about my parents I don't want them finding out so what do I tell them? Since I live in las Vegas if anyone knows where they are hiring and I can meet with them I'd love for that information. I'm not just doing this because I want to show my body off. Which I am comfortable in it's the fact I need to pay my way through school and this dancing area will help me with that. I want to be able to afford a car and the insurence so I can drive to school. I just want to know exactly what I need to get started and how long it would take. I'd like to start during the Christmas holidays (I know that's going to be a busy time) if you have any ideas of maybe topless or something else shows in Vegas please let me know. I really don't want anyone saying I shouldn't do this. It's not like I'm going to go to hell I just need the extra money and jobs are short.

  I think you have to be 21 to work at any of the topless clubs, because they serve alcohol. The fully nude clubs allow 18+ because no alcohol is served in the fully nude clubs. You will just need to contact the clubs you are interested in directly and ask them if they are hiring and what the process is. There aren't really any job requirements... you just have to be relatively good looking and be able to dance. Once you get hired on, you will be put to work right away... they may just have you work the floor and doing lap dances if you are not immediately comfortable with getting up on stage. If you are smart with the money you make, you should be able to buy your own car pretty quickly. You can get a car for $1000 that will serve it's purpose, so that might only take you working a couple weeks. If you live with your parents, there is a good chance they are going to know something is up.... how else do you plan to explain being gone during the wee hours of the morning and returning home in full make up and reeking of perfume? You're going to need to devise a pretty good alibi to keep your parents' suspicions down. Being comfortable with your own body is only one part of the equation. One other thing I really think you need to consider is how comfortable you are with rubbing that body of yours on Asian business men, fat sweaty men, and otherwise just creepy men. Imagine your dad's best friend or one of your high school teachers coming into the club and wanting a lap dance from you... you have to be prepared to deliver to whoever is willing to pay. Next time you are at the grocery store or wherever, imagine giving a lap dance and shaking your goods in front of every man you see in the store. A lot of people who would be comfortable with being naked would not be comfortable with giving lap dances to strange men... it's a very different story. Also, there is a lot of drug use in strip clubs. Not all the girls do drugs and many do just need the money to pay for childcare or school... but it's not an easy job and unfortunately, a lot of the girls do get hooked on drugs.
