Wells Fargo employees?

Can Wells Fargo reimburse you more than "half" of your overdraft fee, despite what they tell you?

• My account went over by about $30. That never happens, but somehow it finally did. Wells Fargo pulled the $30 from my savings to cover the $30 my checking needed (Overdraft Protection). Along with that, my account was charged $12.50 for that transfer/overdraft protection fee. The reason my acccount went over is because there were several purchases that didnt go through as soon as id hoped they would. My fault. As careful as i always am, I finally slipped up. I called Wells Fargo asking if i could have the $12.50 fee removed and reimbursed back into my account. The banker lady was nice, and said shes only allowed to reimburse half of it. Now idk about you, but that seems a little sketchy to me. If this fee was due to my own error, why would Wells Fargo even reimburse me half, if any? I asked her why Wells Fargo only allows half and if she herself could actually reimburse me the full amount. She said Wells Fargo has taken it out of bankers hand's to reimburse people the full amount. She said Wells Fargo is a business, and they have to make their money somehow. That just pissed me off. A coorperation that benefits from other's losses. Granted, in the end im glad and thanked the lady that she was able to reimburse at least half of the fee for me. But still I wonder. Has she been trained to lie to me and tell me she couldnt reimburse 100% of it? Or does Wells Fargo REALLY not allow their bankers to remove fees from user's accounts?

  It sounds like company policy, but there are always exceptions. Working for a different bank I can tell you it all depends upon how much money you have with the bank. If you have tons of scratch in investments through the bank they will kiss your butt.
