Can I be a LVN after I get my EMT?

Where can I get an LVN in Houston?

  • So here's my situation: I just got into a housing program where all my rent and electric bills will be covered for two years. I want to use that time to get an LVN so that, when I'm done with this program, I can pay my own bills. Problem is, I need to find a school where I can get an LVN before December 2011; after that, I have to start paying my own bills again, which would force me to work full time, which would make school difficult, if not impossible. Does anyone know where I can go to school to get this all done?

  • Answer:

Well They offer license vocational Nurse certification programs at Houston Community College. I don't know where you are in Houston, they have locations in Central, northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest Houston. The program is a year long and graduates can take the test to be a license nurse. Don't go to WestWood College. I went there and regret it. http://www.hccs.edu/portal/site/hccs

Medvance on 59 south and Westpark http://www.medvance.edu/schools/vocational-nursing-houston-south HCC has a 1yr course San Jacinto College Lonestar College (different locations) I think you can also get financial aid in all of these schools, if you need it.
