Where to get free food?

Where can i go to get free food in houston texas?

• Right now have seasonal job am I am not making any hours or money. I already have food stamps. the problem is last month I received them on the first of the month. when this month came around I didn't get any. I called 211 and they told me I get food stamps every 15th of the month. But I have already used my month allowance for food and there is no way to get more food stamps. Does anyone know where I can get food. I use to have a pantry near my house, but its closed. they have a sign on the door saying they only accept food donations in the back. I have been to the big pantry downtown and they told me im not in their zip and the one that's closed is the one I can get food from.... WRONG! So I was hoping to find an organization that helps all areas of houston or anything. I just need some help. I have kids that I am worried about how they will eat. Im not writing this to get criticism. you don't know me, I am working my way out of a terrible marriage. I'm just looking for answers to my question. Thank you.
