try the mall, movies, zoo, museum maybe and most food places like coldstone ice cream and stuff. 16 yr olds can work at most stores in the mall and at least as a hostess in restaurants which isnt so bad because you get to take tips home every night so thats cash in your pocket everytime you work. forever 21 is always hiring people because ppl are always quiting so you might not want to work there and wet seal, and buckle and a couple more places dont hire until 18 but other than that every else is pretty much open. just go to the different places and ask if there hiring.

I taught high school for a while, and the best jobs for my students (where they were paid the best and had the best perks) were movie theaters (free movies!) and hosting at restaurants (discounts!).
