How should I go about hiring a lawyer in Houston TX to seal a record and restore civil rights?

• Hello everyone. I am a 30 yr old male (using wife's account) and I am trying to find out what my options are for having my civil rights restored and possibly seal a felony record I got when I was 17 yrs old. I was charged as an adult and did less than a year in State Jail for Felony theft and Credit Card Abuse. Since I was convicted and served time as a teen, I have turned my life around. I am hoping that my accomplishments since then will allow me to have my record sealed or expunged. My concerns are, I have two college degrees in Business/ Marketing and at the moment I have a great career with a Fortune 500 company as a Field Manager. One day I might have to leave this company and I concerned that even though I have a college degree, I will still be overlooked as a ideal applicant due to my felonies. It would suck to have paid so much to go to college and not be able to get the job I deserve because of this. Not only do I want my record sealed but I want my civil rights restored as well. I want to be able to legally vote and even buy a firearm for recreational use if i choose to. Does anyone know of any good lawyers in the Houston Texas area that could do something like this? I must add, I currently live in Southern California. I am looking for a lawyer in Texas because that is where the 2 charges happened.

I don't believe you will necessarily need a lawyer in Houston to help you unless the local one recommends it.
