What Clothing Stores Hire 15 Year Olds With A Work Permit?

  • okay i turned 15 in december, im looking for a job....not a fricken bagger at a grocery store either im looking to be like a page at the library maybe? or at a clothing stores i live in michigan btw dont give me crappy answers or i;ll give you a really low rating, i would like the names of stores that hire 15 year olds

    most clothing stores require you to be 18, and a few are ok with 16. i think you'd have better luck at the library. also try some fast food places. it's not an ideal job, but it's probably better than being a bagger. just know that at your age, your options are really limited and that having any job at all is great. if you get a job that you don't even like that much, when you're older you can quit this job and apply for a better one. you might even have an advantage because you'll have work experience. good luck

The way the economy is at the moment, even adults can't find jobs at their ages. Sad state of the economy. In California, Mervyn's closed, and Macy's is closing some stores.. What I would do is, if you live in a rather large town, contact the smaller clothing chains.. Not sure about your laws regarding employment. I have a teenage son who will be 16 in April,but he plays HS baseball so work is out until he finishes baseball in June. Jobs are scarce. Good luck.

Locally owned stores (like non-corporate stores) and the outlet stores like TJ Max are probably your best chances. Good Luck!
