What job can i get as a 14 year old in Dallas, Tx?

  • You see, I'm 14 and i would like to get a job already. I need a job in Dallas, Tx. I would most likely to work at a job that involves the public, like the movies. But i also need to know the specific place in Dallas and how i can i get the application. So, please help me out. I need a job.

    Since you are 14 you may need to get it approved by someone first. I remember people working at a certain age when I was in high school had check in with a specific teacher. If you know anyone your age working find out where they work. You may want to just call the places close to where you live and ask. If you are going to rely on other people for rides to and from work it may have to be close to home.

Many larger companies do not hire 14 yr old kids because of restrictions on how they will get to work, equipment they cannot operate, and time restrictions. I suggest you start with small mom and pop type businesses first - they do not have large HR departments setting policies. A good idea is to call the businesses near you and see if they hire 14 yr old. Some other ways to make some extra money is to baby sit - I recommend you get CPR certified, mow lawns for neighbors, walk dogs for neighbors. Good luck
