Attention Texas Real Estate Agents...Who do you think the best broker is to work for and why? I've recently finished my requirements and was going to interview a few brokers, but there are just so many in the Fort Worth area! Help me narrow it down to a few! Thanks!

That is a great question! I remember asking it myself! It can be sooo confusing. I started with Abio AHK and loved the staff and they have low/no monthly fees. It is a smal boutique agency with a solid reputation. They do not offer any free classes. But I always got my questions answered fast and really liked the people. I was going to choose Keller Williams. They seemed pretty great and I got the (very friendly) hard sell when I met one of the office managers. Then I learned that they have a quota on bringing in new agents...i did not like that. But they seem to offer a lot for new agents with training and mentoring. I am now with the Michael Group. They have the best commission split - 100% is mine, minus $200.....as opposed to 70/30 the two agencies above. Makes a big difference to my bottom line! However, there is said to be less support, but I have not experienced that. Everyone is very helpful when I have needed it. Email me if you wanna chat! It is a tough biz! But I really love it! All the best, Kat

You need a broker who will be there for you when you have questions/concerns. So a good personality fit is important. Visit the offices and find one that feels like 'home' to you. My favorite is Coldwell Banker, others can't even compare. Best advertising, internet marketing, relocation network, name recognition, best in production per agent and ethics/training. Good luck and don't give up if first few years are tough.
