MODELING AGENCIES IN MICHIGAN?

Y=HI,IM LOOKING TO PUT MY DAUGHTER INTO MODELING.IM WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS OF ANY MODELING AGENCIES IN MICHIGAN THAT DONT CHARGE YOU MONEY.PLEASE HELP.MY DAUGHTER REALLY WANTS TO BE A MODEL.THANK YOU!!!!

I'm in the Detroit area & signed with one of the Agencies here as a Commercial/Runway model. First off, read www.newmodels.com which is a great website to learn how a legitimate agency works. It also provides great info about the industry and how not to get scammed. The site is written by a friend of mine who is a Photographer for the modeling industry and he really knows his stuff! Knowledge is power in this industry. Two agencies I know of that are legit & have good websites to check out are www.theigroup.com & www.traquemanagement.com. Lots to read, but it will give you an idea of what a real agency website looks like & what they expect. Both also mention when the open calls are & what is needed in terms of what to bring to open calls. Read all of the above & you will be able to make a more educated decision about what you want from this industry. Good luck!
