Does anybody know of and have had results with a good bartering site with focus in Illinois?

• Anybody know of a good site where we can barter or post our situation? We live in Illinois. I need to post somewhere to request a vehicle in trade for work. Would prefer a site where asking to trade work for a van would not seem odd. Age and looks don't matter. It just needs to run! We were both laid off our full time jobs over 6 months ago. Public transportation in the suburb where we live is a nightmare and practically non existent. Last week we had to stop the temp jobs that we had due to engine problems on our Toyota. Now we have found ourselves stranded without a vehicle. We really need a vehicle to gain steady employment and keep the roof over our heads. Things have become unmanageable. Two years ago I would never have imagined that we could find ourselves in the situation we are in now. We were not blessed with children but lately we are barely able to feed our two dogs. And I feel so guilty. We could care less if we go without - but they shouldn't have to. The site could be geared to the following work: My husband is qualified to do just about any type of construction or handy man jobs from roofing, drywall, painting (excellent painter) to some plumbing work. I can clean your house, babysit, dog walk, dog training, or do any type of clerical, computer or office/home organizational job. Any one job or combination of jobs would be fine with one or both of us. We do have an opportunity for housing and jobs in Texas (1400 miles away), but again, have no vehicle to get us there. We would prefer a van so that there will be room for some boxes along with our two big dogs. Any direction or knowledge of the best place to post our position would be greatly appreciated.
