A good place to live outside of Raleigh,NC?

Where is a good place to live outside Boston?

• I would like to be 15 to 20 miles outside Boston. I will be commuting in. I am looking for an area with less traffic going in, best housing prices, good schools and safe neighborhoods.

  So, you'll wnt to consider South, North and West of Boston. (East is the ocean). South of Boston is difficult to commute into town by car because there's really only 1 major road into Boston, but the South is excellent for public transportation. I would look at Braintree first, esp if you want a quiet community with good public schools. If you're a single person I'd choose Quincy. It's a very small city (not even one skyscraper!) and has 5 train stops alone and lots of single people but families too, has everything and is very affordable. North of Boston I would look at Stoneham first for a quieter town for families and good public schools, then Saugus, Melrose and Wakefield. There are a few major roads into Boston by car from the North. There is decent public transportation. West of Boston there's also only 1 major roadway into Boston, the Ma
