What's a good salary for a Facilities Assistant in Boston, MA?

• I applied for a Facilities Assistant position in Boston, MA, but Im from Houston, Texas. I have my interview next week and Im sure they're going to ask me or at some point ask me what my salary reequest is. Being from the Houston cost of living is way cheaper than in Boston, but I don't want to ask for something too low or too high. After researching this I found that the average salary for a Facilities Assistant in Boston is $57,000.00... Is this right? For me Im like "Wow thats a lot of money and this is the exact same thing I do, but here in Houston!" So, I guess my question would be, whats a good salary amount to ask when applying for a Facilities Assistant position in Boston, MA?

I work in the Facilities department of an engineering company in Boston handling all of our office design work...the facilities manager makes about 60k so I would guess that a facilities assistant would start at 45k depending on experience. I make about 40k and I have been here for 2 years with about 4 yrs experience.
