Where do Home Depot and Lowes get concrete blocks (8x8x16 cinder block style)?

  • I am finding the prices cheaper than even masonry suppliers. I need about 1000 blocks. If I can find out where they get them, maybe I can lean on the supplier to give me a better deal.

    home depot and lowes buy blocks from a block plant.They have a concrete plant set up and molds they pour and make blocks.I doubt your going to beat home depots or lowes pricing.They buy blocks by the tractor trailer loads and get THEIR price or they buy somewhere else.I use blocks sometimes building steps and stuff on rental houses and your not going to find them cheaper.I have priced them at the plant and they are higher than lowes.
