How does a criminal background work?

Who can an ex-offender find work with a company that doesn't hope his criminal background agsinst him ?

  • I admitted to doing a crime I didn't commit because someone of management I trusted told me and would happen; BOY was I wrong about him. I was arrested and sentence ( 10 years probation or pay $6,000.00) . That's hard to do when no one want hire anyone with a criminal background.

  • Answer:

    Small companies usually will not check your background or give you a drug test.

I used to work for the Department of Labor in New Jersey and came across your question a lot. It can be very difficult to get a job if you have a record. The best thing to do is to find someone who him/herself did time in prison and then when they got out started their own company. If you do some research on the net I'm sure you will find something. Try your state's employment website.

if you didnt commit a felony and your honest mpst jobs wont but if your dealing with money then most likely you will have a problem. Believe it or not most state jobs dont do a background check.
