How much would a typical bartender make?

How much does a bartender make in the surrounding areas of Atlanta Georgia?

• I am moving to Georgia in a couple of months. I am a bartender in Michigan now, i average about $500- $700 a week in a chain restaurant. Is it hard to get a bartending job? How much does servers average, if i do have to move up? And what are some good places to apply?

  It varies based on the type of place you work (bar, club) the type of customers the place has, the area, the price of the drinks, the amount you all pull. I know of places where the bartenders are lucky to get the legal amount per hour pay (less than 3 bucks and never get tips) and places you can get 500 bucks an hour in tips alone. It's very varied. As far as finding a bartending job here, most places hire someone who works in the place as a lower job like host, sever and someone trains them.
