Are there still a lot of jobs in Atlanta?

What is a good salary for someone relocating from marlyand to atlanta (sandy springs or tucker georgia area)?

• Im trying to relocate there by July. Im looking for a new job, unfortunately Im not able to just transfer through my current job. But it seems like the jobs in Atlanta, do not pay that well, for the field im interested in (entry level administrative assistant or receptionist). They only pay around 9-10/hr. I also, have a clearance but a lot of clearance jobs are requiring you to have a degree already, and I don't have a degree yet.

  When I moved here, I earned about one third of what I did back in NY. While I had to watch what I spent, I found that I lived decently. My rent was less than half of what it was back home -- and the Atlanta apartment was infinitely nicer. The cost of living is a lot less here than what I was used to. What I'm saying is this: If you REALLY want to live in Atlanta and you're certain you can get a job -- even one that pays not-so-much -- give it a go. Learn as many software programs as you can, so you can find a better job and increase your opportunities.
