How Prime Mango Works?

How Will Natural Pesticides Affect my Mango Plant?

  • I'm growing a mango and I have noticed gnat larva in the soil around and in the mango seed. I am worried that the adult gnat will eat the mango's leaves and kill it. (Btw my mango plant has already grown a stem with leaves, if anyone is wondering.) I have looked up some natural pesticides (onion powder, garlic powder, citric to name a few) but I am worried that they will hurt my mango plant. If anyone has any information about natural pesticides and mangoes, please post. Thanks a lot:)

  • Answer:

the adult gnats will do nothing to hurt your plant other than many eggs that hatch to maggots that can hurt the roots of the plant, thus causing damage...no insecticide is needed, just re-pot into clean potting soil and watch the amount of water you do in the future.
