with clothes its better just to pack them in thick carrier bags then just tape them up well with brown packing tape! other stuff just boxes, padded envelopes etc!!!!

get yourself a couple of pigeons and send them that way and for the big packages put a couple on it

When you go to the Post Office, they may be able to help you out with the correct packaging.

I have sold thousands of items on ebay including clothes, which are much easier than most items. I usually wrap in brown paper and tape well on all ends to ensure no rips during transit. I also include a receipt inside the package which you can print out from ebay. Another good piece of advice is to send things recorded delivery as loads of stuff goes missing in the post and for the sake of 66p extra you have insurance.

go to the post office and get a sizing guide and price guide because since august the new pricing in proportion structure came in to play and makes a big difference how you package things but generally you can buy plastic bags which are adequate for clothes, also always make sure you send items recorded delivery so you can track the item with a signature at the other end,not all ebayers are genuine they can tell you they have not received items when really they have

But tissue paper and grey delivery bags off eBay very cheap. Wrap clothes in tissue paper and a clear plastic bag( purchase from e bay) then in a grey bag. You can print your address off from eBay when you have sold your item. For breakables wrap in bubble wrap ( get this free from the fruit dept in your Supermarket just make sure you ask for it first, its usually on organic bananas) also put them in boxes. Believe me package properly and Bayer's will appreciate it and buy again from you.Good Luck.

Clothing is easy to package - fold properly, wrap in polythene bag and wrap in second polythen bag, and then wrap in bubble wrap - then use good quality brown paper (or Jiffy bag) ensuring all edges and corners are sealed using parcel tape (much better and stronger than cellotape). This way should the item get prodded or poked by unforeseen forces, the clothing inside should not get damaged. Other items - ensure a good layer of bubblewrap, extra protection for corners, and seal inside a cardboard protection - box or flat pack. Again make sure edges and corners are taped and use parcel tape. Anything breakable should have the word FRAGILE written in large wording on front and back, and/or THIS WAY UP again in large wording, if there is an preferred upright position. For your own protection Recorded Delivery is always best as someone has to sign for it. If fragile/breakable items are being sent, then it might also be worth paying for insurance incase the post office delivery system breaks it. You can offer this extra cost to the buyer to pay for or add it in as part of the postage fee, for their protection.

on e bay there are people that sell packaging at good prices, the post office stuff is dear, polythene bags to the required size, and strong mailing bags, add the cost to your postage and packing costs.
