Preventing termites in Apartment?
-
I had a termite problem in my apartment and hired a pest control company to install several bait stations. They say the treatment has been effective and took the stations away. Now they are offering a ridiculously expensive 1-year service extension, just to have a guy come and inspect my apartment every 3 months. Is there something I can do to prevent termites on my own? Can I just buy these stations somewhere? Most treatments seem designed for houses, not apartments.

Answer:
Why are you paying for pest control in an apartment? That is the owner's responsibility. Termites can structurally undermine the integrity of a building without anyone knowing. Getting rid of the termites without checking what damage may have been done & what repairs might need to be performed doesn't make much sense if the place falls down around you. Good luck...
