How would I know if my house has mold?

  • We just moved into a house built in 1999 and ever since we moved in my boyfriend has been having really bad asthma. Can my house have mold? How do I find out?

    Hi Michelle, Toxic mold grows in a no sunlight environment where there is a constant water source. Like inbetween walls from a leaking pipe. Follow the pipelines in your home, look for anything out of the ordinary like discolored drywall. Do you have a basement? if so check that source. also you might want to try to look inside your a/c unit as they are notorious for developing mold.
