Could you enumerate some plant or fruit extracts that can kill Urinary Tract Infection-causing-bacteria?

HOW DO I GET RID OF FRUIT FLYS iN AN INDOOR POTTED PLANT???

  • for the last few days fruit flys have been coming out of the dirt and flying all over my mom's plant. she told me to find a way to kill or get rid of them... got any ideas?

you can get a powder at your local home and garden store it is called sevin dust that will help get rid of them!!! and it will not hurt your plants at all ...

ive heard that if u put a bag of water around a particular place flies get repelled. i dunno y..but i hope it works.

Take it outside and hose it down good with a spray nozzle. It's easy to kill them, it's just hard to stop them from coming back.

There is hope! You can trap fruit flies easily. Place a piece of banana in a glass jar. Make a paper funnel and place it the small funnel opening down into the jar. In minutes the flies will find their way into the jar. You can simply take the jar outdoors, remove the paper and release the flies. Then 'reset' your trap and empty it outside as needed. This works quickly to clear the air of fruit flies, and they don't lay their eggs again in your plant.

I just had this problem! I had to re-pot. Get rid of the old soil and use new soil. There are sprays that you can buy specifically for this purpose. You spray it on the foliage. You can also put sand on the top of the soil which allows water to get to the plant but not the flies to get to the soil. And no over watering! It attracts them. Hope this helps!

Simple... Take a small spray bottle put a little dish soap and water in it, then spray the leaves.
