Where to buy picnic basket/blankets?

Would you buy a picnic blanket which is held down by pegs (market research)?

  • I am doing some market research on a new product... It is a picnic blanket which is held down by tent pegs so it doesn't blow about in the wind. It has holes around the edge (similar to tarpaulin) which the tent pegs go in. The holes would be in each corner plus one in the middle of each of those. I am wondering whether you would buy one? What you might change? What colours and styles ect. you would want? If there is that product around or a very similar one? Thank you xx

No I would not buy one, if it's that windy that you need to peg it down you would not get me having a picnic that day, wait for a calmer day

Assuming this will be used on a sandy beach, the wind will overpower the pegs stuck into the sand so the idea won't work. The wind only has to pull one peg and the rest will go like a zipper. Better to have pockets sewn into the corners and the middle. Then the user could fill a simple plastic ziplock bag with sand, put the bags into the pockets. Even if the wind lifted the blanket, it wouldn't go far. When the picnic is over, just empty the sand back on the beach and stuff the empty bag back into the pocket.

I would not but if you really need a picnic blanket than you should, if you don't need one that bad than try to look for some other one.
