How can i get roots from a bamboo branch?
-
So i went out today to buy a bamboo plant only to find the place only sells clumping bamboo (i wanted running) for like $100 however at the front they had running bamboo, the guy said he couldnt sell us, so we took a couple "samples". now i'm trying to grow what i got which was one small bamboo with roots which i've planted but the other one is a branch from a bamboo with lots of nodes. now im not a gardening expert but i've gotten roots from other plants by putting the leaf/branch in water for a couple days/weeks and it's given me roots so i could plant it. unfortunately i wasn't very patient with that plant so it died. can i do the same to get roots for the bamboo? or are there other methods?
