How to get rid of the silverfish in a house?

Will spraying the whole house get rid of silverfish? (and what sprays?)?

• ok so we have a really bad silverfish problem, whenever the sun sets, they ALWAYS seem to appear in my upstairs hallway on the walls and ceiling, and they get into my room, the guest room, and my bathroom that are in that hallway. i mainly find then there, and SOMETIMES maybe like 1 stray one downstairs. im TERRIFFIED of them, and havent slept in my room in 3 weeks. yesterday i finally made my parents realise that this is a PROBLEM, by my dad dosent want to hire an exterminator because hes too cheap >__> SOOO today at 5pm me and my dad are going to Menards and going to buy some spray. then we're going to come back home and spray every square inch of the house, and then me my mom and dad will leave for 2 hours (go to starbucks or something). then when we come back my dad says we have to open all the windows (netted windows) to get rid of the scent? do u think this will be effective in getting rid of them?=( also, what sprays do u reccommend? sprays only, no powder

  I would call a local exterminator and tell them about the problem and ask what the best thing to use is. Explain you can not affort their services at this time. Or - go to Home Depot or Lowe's. Someone there should be able to tell you what to use and how to use it. Good luck....I hate them boogers too!!
