How can I get rid of flies in the house?

• Please help! I keep getting loads of flies in my house. This is the first summer we have had such a problem with them. We have left no food out and have no pets. They are such a problem and have been buzzing around while we sleep, waking up myself, my husband and my 3 year old. Last night we were up at 4am chasing some around our bedroom. I am 6 months pregnant so we cannot use any sprays or chemicals. The house is clean and tidy and I want these pests out! Any help would be really appreciated, especially if it leads to a full nights sleep!

  Putting about 20 cloves in an apple and putting it on the table will keep them off the table. Putting 2 cups water, 1 cup apple-cider vinegar, and 1 cup of sugar in a gallon milk jug will attract flies. They will go into this and drown. Cloves, hanging in old socks or something will repel them. Plastic bags half filled with water hanging where the light can get through them will make flies leave. These are good for hanging out side the door and on porches. These confuse their eyes and they will go else where.
