What's the catch with the Publishers Clearing House?

What is the catch with Publishers clearing house?

  • Answer:

There is no catch. You will waste a lot of your life trying to enter their contest correctly. The odds of winning are very very remote and you will find your mail box stuffed with junk from all the companies that they sell your information to. Fairly harmless, but you have a better chance of winning a lottery.

There is a one in so many million chance that you will be a winner. In the meantime they are trying to get you to subscribe to their magazines. We entered for years and didn't win a darn thing.

actually YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY THEIR MAGAZINES. it's just their way of trying to entice you to do that. if you read their literature it will tell you you don't have to buy to enter the sweepstakes, and that buying won't increase your chances either. READ IT.

after you spend a few thousand dollars in buying magazines and stuff you win a 100 dollars or something. LOL personally i did know someone who won 10.000 but thats it. He blew it of course, but it does show people actually do occasionally win.

They collect your information when you enter their "contest" and then they sell your information to all the companies that put out junk mail and spam. They spend a little money, sell something they got for free, and become wealthy. I've never seen proof of anybody actually winning.

I wish I knew. I get emails from them everyday, I fill them all out. But I never win. Plus, the emails always take you to other websites to try to get you to buy something.

They sell your name to other businesses. If it's too good to be true it probably is.

Yeah, they used to sell magazines and this year they sent me flyers for a whole bunch of household items to choose from. They were all cheesey so I threw it away.
