Are common house centipedes dangerous?

Is there anything I can spray around my house to repel centipedes?

• Centipedes are the grossest bugs in my opinion and they are everywhere in my house. It's disgusting! I've tried regular bug repellent which worked with the little bugs like ladybugs and box elders but the centipedes are everywhere, they wont die and they move so fast I hate it!

  Get some Diatomaceous Earth which is a powder that looks and feels like baby powder to us but cuts the exoskeleton (shell) of bugs so that they dry out and die. Wear a mask or bandanna over your face and sprinkle this over your floors, your bed frame into cracks and under mattresses, cushions of your furniture etc... This will get rid of centipedes and kill whatever bug populations that will explode after the centipedes are gone. They eat other bugs! Diatomaceous earth is safe for humans and pets but you don't want to breath it in because it will irritate your lungs and make you cough. It's available at some hardware stores in the gardening section to keep bugs off your vegetables and in some natural food stores. Don't get the kind sold at pool stores because it is treated with chemicals that are so bad for you. You can keep this stuff on your floors until you feel like vacuuming it up and then put down some more till you think the life cycle has been disrupted enough that the new generation has hatched.
