How can I get rid of sugar ants?

How do I get rid of sugar ants?

  • I seem to get a lot of sugar ants in my home but can't see where they are coming from. How can I get rid of them please?

  • Answer:

Ants usually crawl in under the baseboards. Ant bait or gel will get rid of the ants. The ants will be attracted to it and take it to their nest where there can be 2,000 ants and share it with them and this will get rid of the nest that might be in the wall, under the house or outside. When the ants start carrying the bait away they will use the trail where they came in. This process can take a couple of days.

Other answers

Borax and syrup or honey as an attractant. Or buy commercial ant bait which is the same thing. They take back to the nest and feed it to the young, end of problem.

You can buy stuff from stores that can get rid of them. Like traps and poison for them.

Ants won't cross chalk, so in the doorways and along the walls where you think they're getting in draw lines.
