  Looking in the want ads and going to employment agencies where the farms and ranches are located will show if there are any jobs available. If you think riding a horse from sun up to sun down around pastures and rounding up cattle and horses and branding over a hot fire in 95 degree weather is good, go for it. You will have to rope calf's and tie them down to brand them. And male calves have to be castrated to become steers. Plus you get all sweaty, dirty and cow manure on you. And cattle get pink eye, rot foot, lice, diarrhea and other things and have to be treated. Pulling a calf out of a cow is something else. That is part of being on a ranch. On a farm some of the above has to be done plus you plow from sun up to sun down and then harvest the crop form sun up till after dark. Then there are the chickens and pigs. That is part of what has to be done.
